Hunger and World Poverty

About 21,000 people die every day of hunger or hunger-related causes, according to the United Nations. This is one person every four seconds, as you can see on this display. Sadly, it is children who die most often.

Yet there is plenty of food in the world for everyone. The problem is that hungry people are trapped in severe poverty. They lack the money to buy enough food to nourish themselves. Being constantly malnourished, they become weaker and often sick. This makes them increasingly less able to work, which then makes them even poorer and hungrier. This downward spiral often continues until death for them and their families.

There are effective programs to break this spiral. For adults, there are “food for work” programs where the adults are paid with food to build schools, dig wells, make roads, and so on. This both nourishes them and builds infrastructure to end the poverty. For children, there are “food for education” programs where the children are provided with food when they attend school. Their education will help them to escape from hunger and global poverty.

THE WORLD

I would like to bring awareness of the people in the world, we are all god's children, and entrusted us to show charity, and compassion to one another. But people seem to go about heir daily lives, shutting their eyes to the world, just because it is easier that way, because it is not you in that position. But you never know if your path would lead you to that position.  We can help one another and do more, or do something.

Could you imagine being so hungry that you can see every little detail of your bones? What if you didn't have enough energy talk, or even walk? This is not a joke, nor a pleasant position to be in. When we think hunger, we say to ourselves, " oh ya, I've been hungry before, I've missed a couple of meals, then my stomach starts to growl, big deal" No, you've got it all wrong

The world has alot of homelessness, this is not just through drug use, and alcohol abuse. There are people out there who been through abuse in home, lost everything they own, through destruction, natural disasters or simply losing their job, their home etc.  People walk past these people everyday without a word, without a glance like they are invisble. How would you cope? because you are not exempt from becoming one of them, it can happen to anyone!  Jah gave us love and compassion where is it? blinded by your own comforts? your daily life?   Jah (God) made us all, breathed the spirit of life into us (soul), these are our brothers and sisters. I am asking is you have compassion, love, respect for the world and Jah creation.  Can you spare a little food?  Can you spare your clothing you throw away? If the answer is yes go help a brother or sister today!

1 John Chapter 3

17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels [of compassion] from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?     18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

The homeless does not only be in human flesh, we have Jah's creatures homeless too, the animals that was bought home for christmas and thrown out afterwards. Then you have the homeless animals breading creating more homeless. The animals have a heart and soul just like we do, and they may be one of Jah's angels testing us on this earthly plain. Let us treat these also with compassion and love, because that is all they ask for, full belly love and compassion. Can you show them love?

Proverbs 12:10 - A righteous [man] regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked [are] cruel.

THE ELDERLY   LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR.

Many elderly people,  live alone, because they have no family members, children live far away from them, natural disasters etc.  We pass by the elderly everyday of our lives, do you ignore them? do you help them? or even give them the time of day?

The elderly are our history and brothers and sisters we will all get there in the end! What is it was your parent / s?   Do they have food? because they cannot get out to the shops, even a friendly face to have someone to talk to.  Show a bit of love and help them, even if to talk with, no one should be made to feel lonely, depressed and feel like no one cares.

Thank you for taking the time to show compassion and thank you visiting my pages
